TEXAS CITY – A 35-year-old Texas City man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police confirmed in a press release Wednesday.

The Texas City Police Department said its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, alongside its Criminal Investigations Division, Crime Suppression Unit, and SWAT team, executed a search warrant Monday in the 3400 block of Ninth Avenue North.

The investigation began with a “cybertip” — an alert submitted through the CyberTipline, the nation’s centralized reporting system for suspected online child exploitation.

Authorities identified the suspect as Bryan Walker, 35, of Texas City. His arrest was made with assistance from U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and the La Porte Police Department.

Walker was booked into the Galveston County Jail on a $30,000 bond. He was no longer listed among current inmates as of Wednesday, according to jail records.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the CyberTipline allows both the public and electronic service providers to report incidents of suspected online child enticement, sexual abuse material, sex trafficking, child sex tourism, and other forms of internet-related exploitation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
