GALVESTON – It was a hot day near the Galveston Cruise Terminal, but a moderate breeze helped keep things comfortable as crowds gathered for the annual Galveston Hot Sauce Festival.
The event drew a strong turnout, with many attendees browsing a variety of vendor booths, each offering their own hot sauces and spicy products.
Among the returning vendors were Colin Roy and his son Aidan Doyle of Poor Vida Hot Sauce, who traveled from Carrollton, Texas, just as they did last year. Their table remained busy throughout the day as returning fans and new visitors sampled their sauces.

Adding to the fun was a trivia contest hosted by local personality Dave in Galveston. Contestants competed for prizes by answering questions related to hot sauce and spicy foods.
Renee Nelson of Friendswood attended the festival for the first time. “My favorite hot sauce was Texan Heartland Chili Haribo,” she said.
The festival offered something for both heat-seeking enthusiasts and casual tasters, combining flavor, local talent, and community spirit.
