TEXAS CITY — Authorities are actively searching for an escaped inmate who fled the Texas City Jail facility on the evening of May 22, 2025, around 8:17 p.m.

According to a Texas City Facebook Post, the inmate—Gregory Gray—was assisted by a relative who drove him to the south side of the Dickinson Bayou Bridge, where Gray was reportedly dropped off on foot.

Police say Gray has since changed into a red hoodie and pants, and a heavy law enforcement presence remains in the area as the search intensifies.
