SOUTH JORDAN, UT — New information has come to light in the ongoing case of 15-year-old Alisa Petrov, who has been missing since April 21. A recently discovered iPad, found hidden in Petrov’s dresser during a search of her home, revealed communications between the teen and one of the two men previously charged in connection with her disappearance.

According to court records, messages on the device show Petrov had been speaking with a man named “Matt,” who was later confirmed to be Matthew Nicholas Menard of Miami, Florida, through his Instagram account. The messages allegedly detailed plans for Petrov to meet Menard in Las Vegas, where she would “lay low” until he arrived on a business trip later in May. From there, the two were reportedly planning to travel to Los Angeles for several days before flying to Miami, where Menard lives.

Following the discovery, Miami police contacted Menard, who admitted to having conversations with Petrov and confirmed ownership of the Instagram account. Glines, according to Utah court records, reportedly contacted Petrov through social media in February and continued regular sexually explicit conversations with the teen.

He also asked for and received photos of the teen that showed her breasts, bare rear end, and images in her underwear, according to the arrest affidavit. His phone was seized and shipped to the South Jordan Police Department, where a warrant to search its contents was obtained.

Additional details have also surfaced regarding William Taylor Glines of Texas City, Texas. Police say Glines had been in contact with Petrov since at least February 3. In one early message, Glines allegedly asked whether she was “14 or 15.” The warrant outlines multiple conversations between the two, many containing sexually explicit content.

Petrov’s communications with Menard reportedly began around January 17, in which she also allegedly confirmed that she was 15 years old.

Both Menard and Glines are facing several charges, including aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, enticement of a minor, and criminal solicitation. Glines also faces additional counts of attempted aggravated exploitation and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Petrov remains missing and is officially classified as a runaway juvenile, though police continue to treat her case as one involving a missing and endangered child. Surveillance footage previously showed her exiting a UTA train in Provo just before midnight on April 21. Witnesses at the station said she had asked about traveling to Las Vegas.

Law enforcement agencies in Utah, Florida, and Texas continue to coordinate efforts in locating Alisa. A $20,000 reward remains in place for verifiable information that leads directly to her safe return.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the South Jordan Police Department immediately.
