Galveston police stated they were dispatched around 3 p.m. to the 2100 block of Market Street following reports of a woman seen climbing on and off the ledge of the structure’s rooftop level.

Chief Balli also emphasized the importance of mental health support. “We urge anyone struggling with a mental health crisis to seek help—no one has to face their battles alone.”

The woman’s identity has not been released pending notification of her next of kin. The incident remains under investigation.
