25TH STREET — Galveston Police Department arrested four suspects around 7:30 Saturday afternoon, after a report of a fight, escalating to one of the four using a firearm.

Captain Xavier Hancock told KGTX 7 that authorities received a call from local witnesses that “shots fired” in the 29th and Seawall area. Callers provided a description of those involved, including the vehicle and its license plate.

Police confronted the vehicle near a local restaurant, Eatcetera, on Market Ave and Rosenberg 25th Street and conducted a high risk traffic stop, due to a reported firearm presence.

Police, armed, surrounded the car and apprehended the four suspects. 21-year-old, Gary Ramirez was arrested for the felony offense of Deadly Conduct.

The other three—Giovanna del Rosario Ventura (22), Luis Gonzales (34), and Celeste Carbajal (27) were also arrested for the misdemeanor of Public Intoxication. Two firearms were also recovered from the vehicle.
