League Park was alive with music, color, and community spirit Saturday evening as the “Sunset Bazaar on 2nd” celebrated its one-year anniversary. With roughly 60 local vendors, a live DJ spinning ’90s hits, and a vibrant crowd of all ages, the monthly event has become a cherished staple in the heart of League City.
Hosted by Amber Carlson, the Sunset Bazaar is held from 5 to 9 p.m. each month and features a rotating lineup of artisan vendors.
“We’re actually celebrating our one-year anniversary tonight,” Carlson said. “We’re here every month, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with all different sorts of artisan products.”

Despite a warm start, the evening cooled off quickly—perfect weather for a walk through booths selling everything from handmade soaps to vintage fashion. This month’s theme was all about the ’90s, with space buns, nostalgic outfits, and danceable tunes that got heads nodding and feet moving across the park grounds.
One of the featured vendors, Rose Barnard of Age Gracefully, had her company make the trip across the country last year to launch her natural skincare business.

“I started Age Gracefully in July of 2024,” she said. “We focus on skincare without added toxins or chemicals. It usually leans toward women, but we also carry beard oil for men.”
Another vendor that caught our attention was named Celtic Cross, who makes a local Meade, right here in League City. It was said that Meade is a great alternative to wine, as it doesn’t cause such a headache, due to the lack of grapes.
Families with strollers, teens in throwback windbreakers, and seniors enjoying the music mingled throughout the evening, underscoring the inclusive, small-town charm that defines the Sunset Bazaar. With its growing popularity, the event shows no signs of slowing down as it accomplishes its first year.
