LA MARQUE – A 41-year-old registered sex offender from La Marque has been charged after investigators say he failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

According to the La Marque Police Department, Keith Hernandez was identified as the subject of a cybertip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which initiated an investigation by Detective Shores, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

On Tuesday, June 10, the LMPD Special Response Team (SRT), along with the Crime Scene Unit (CSU) and partner agencies, executed a search warrant at Hernandez’s residence. During the operation, investigators found that Hernandez was not in compliance with his registration obligations.
