LEAGUE CITY — A four-vehicle crash late Friday night in League City was caused by a distracted driver, according to police.
The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of League City Parkway and South Shore Boulevard. According to a League City Police Department supervisor on scene, the driver of the fourth vehicle failed to stop, crashing into the vehicle in front of them. The impact triggered a chain reaction, with the third vehicle striking the second, which then hit the first.
Emergency responders treated minor injuries at the scene. No one was transported to the hospital.
Three of the four vehicles involved required towing due to significant damage. Police did not say whether any citations were issued at the time of the crash.
The intersection was partially blocked for over an hour while crews cleared the scene.
