DICKINSON — A temporary No Wake Zone will be in effect along Dickinson Bayou beginning Friday, June 20, as part of safety precautions for the Texas Outlaw Challenge weekend, according to a press release from the City of Dickinson.
The measure is intended to ensure the safety of participants and spectators during the high-performance boating event, which draws enthusiasts from across the region.
The Dickinson Police Department’s Marine Division, along with other law enforcement agencies, will be patrolling the area to enforce the no wake zone. Boaters are urged to slow down, follow posted regulations, and be mindful of others on the water.

“We ask all boaters to slow down, respect the laws, and help keep our waters safe for everyone,” the city stated in its release.
Maps showing the designated no wake areas are available on the City of Dickinson’s website and social media platforms.
The Texas Outlaw Challenge is an annual event that features poker runs, speed trials, and various on-the-water activities. The no wake zone on Dickinson Bayou is expected to remain in effect throughout the weekend.
