SANTA FE — Coffee lovers in Santa Fe no longer have to make the drive to Alvin or Dickinson for their favorite latte. A brand-new Starbucks location officially opened its doors on Monday, June 16, bringing the popular coffee chain to the city for the first time.
Located at 13530 Highway 6, the new store has quickly become a convenient stop for morning commuters and afternoon caffeine seekers alike. KGTX 7 spoke with Alex, one of the store managers, who said business has been “steady” since the doors opened.
While the store’s operating hours are still being finalized, Alex noted the earliest opening time is 5 a.m., with the latest closings currently around 9 p.m. Hours are expected to vary slightly throughout the week as the store adjusts to local demand.
The opening marks a significant change for Santa Fe residents, who previously had to travel several miles to the nearest Starbucks locations in neighboring cities.
In addition to serving the community, the Santa Fe location is also accepting job applications as it works to build out its full team.
For updates on store hours or to apply, residents can visit starbucks.com/careers or inquire in person.
