DICKINSON — A Dickinson man is facing new charges following an ongoing investigation into crimes against children.

On Friday, June 20, detectives with the Dickinson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested Daniel Torres Guzman on three counts of possession of child pornography. Guzman was taken into custody at the Dickinson Police Department.

According to a press release from the Dickinson Police Department, the charges stem from evidence uncovered during a broader investigation. Guzman had previously been arrested by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office on May 5, 2025, for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a charge connected to the same case.

During the investigation, detectives discovered child pornography on Guzman’s electronic device. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the evidence and accepted the three new felony charges.

Bond was denied on all three charges. The case remains under active investigation.

Editor’s Note: We are aware that Police2Citizen is showing only one charge, however we have confirmed via the press release that it is in fact 3 charges against the accused.
