Police Seize Narcotics, Guns in League City Apartment Raid

LEAGUE CITY — A 27-year-old League City resident has been arrested on multiple felony drug charges after police say a raid at his Harbor Walk apartment led to the discovery of a large quantity of dangerous drugs.

According to a press release from the League City Police Department, detectives with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) began looking into the case after receiving an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers of Galveston County, alleging cocaine was being distributed from the residence. Detectives conducted an investigation and obtained a search warrant.

Police say the warrant was executed around 4:10 p.m. on June 26 at the Harbor Walk Apartments, where officers found significant amounts of illegal substances including cocaine, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, THC cartridges, and marijuana. Multiple firearms and a large sum of cash were also recovered.

The suspect, Hunter Loyd, has been charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (4–200g), Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (over 400g), and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (under 1g). His total bond is set at $275,000.

League City Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
