GCSO Arrests Bacliff Man in Ongoing Child Abuse Investigation

BACLIFF – The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with an ongoing child abuse investigation that began in June 2025, according to a press release issued by the department.

Alvin Rodgers III was taken into custody on Wednesday, by the Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit. He was arrested on the 4200 block of Paladino in Bacliff. Rodgers has been charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Children.

The investigation was led by the Major Crimes Unit, with Detective Scott leading the case. Authorities say the case began after allegations were made by two children. The Galveston County Child Advocacy Center worked closely with investigators, and the case was reviewed by a Multidisciplinary Team.

As part of the investigation, forensic interviews were conducted with the victims. Based on the findings, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office approved the charge against Rodgers.

His bond has been set at $250,000 and is currently being held in the Galveston County Jail.
