LEAGUE CITY — A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody Saturday evening after fleeing from police near the border of League City and Dickinson, as first reported by Grizzy’s Hood News.

According to League City Police, the incident began around 6:40 p.m. when officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person. One officer recognized the woman as Megan Nichole Steele and ran her name, which revealed an outstanding warrant.

Steele attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended following a short chase through a nearby parking lot.

Officer Trevor Montero confirmed to KGTX 7 that Steele has been charged with Fail to Identify Fugitive with Intent to Give False Information and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Previous Conviction.
