LEAGUE CITY – Thirteen-year-old Katelyn Marie Jordon, who was reported missing in the early hours of July 27, has been safely located, according to the League City Police Department.
Authorities confirmed Tuesday that Katelyn was found and is now safe. No further details about her condition or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance were released.
The League City Police Department had issued a call for the public’s help earlier this week, asking residents to be on the lookout and share information about her whereabouts. Community members widely shared the alert on social media.
Police thanked the public for their assistance in helping bring Katelyn home.
Original Report: Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen early Sunday morning.
According to the League City Police Department, Katelyn Marie Jordon was last spotted around 2:00 a.m. on July 27 in the 2200 block of Desert Street.
Katelyn is believed to have been wearing a gray hoodie, black character pajama bottoms, and black Birkenstock sandals. She may also be carrying a black JanSport backpack.
As of Monday afternoon, police have not released further details about the circumstances of her disappearance, but they urge anyone with information to come forward.
“If you have any information about Katelyn’s whereabouts, please contact us immediately,” said a League City Police spokesperson. The department can be reached at 281-332-2566.
