A popular line of roll-on deodorants is being pulled from store shelves across the country after federal regulators flagged safety concerns with how the products were made.
More than 67,000 cases of Power Stick antiperspirant deodorants are being voluntarily recalled by manufacturer A.P. Deauville. The recall includes three different Power Stick roll-on varieties that were sold nationwide through retailers such as Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Amazon.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recall stems from what it calls “cGMP deviations”—short for violations of Current Good Manufacturing Practice standards. These federal guidelines are in place to ensure that over-the-counter products are consistently manufactured with quality controls, accurate labeling, and safe ingredients.
Here’s what’s affected:
- Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant – Powder Fresh (21,265 cases)
- Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant – Spring Fresh (22,482 cases)
- Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant (23,467 cases)
The FDA has not reported any injuries or illnesses related to the products but urges consumers to stop using them and dispose of them properly.
Customers with questions about the recall can find more details on the FDA’s official website.
