CLEAR CREEK – CCISD is expanding its free and reduced-price meal program for the 2025–2026 school year, now offering free breakfast and lunch to eligible students at all grade levels—including high school.
According to their press release, in previous years, students in grades 9–12 paid reduced rates of $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch. This year, those fees have been waived entirely for qualified students.
The program follows federal guidelines from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
According to Fred Walker, Director of Child Nutrition Services, eligibility is based on household income and size.

Families can apply online at www.schoolcafe.com. Those receiving SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, or FDPIR must provide their Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number. Households not on public assistance must list:
- All household members
- Income details for each member
- The last four digits of the Social Security number of the adult who signs the application—or indicate if no number is available
- A signature confirming the accuracy of the information
Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Foster children automatically qualify regardless of household income.
The district notes that any changes in employment or household size may affect eligibility. Applications are reviewed by Rebecca Coronado, the district’s Free & Reduced Meal Benefits Specialist. Appeals may be filed by phone at 281-284-0700 or in writing to the Child Nutrition Hearing Official at 2145 West NASA Blvd, Webster, TX 77598.
Questions can be directed to the Child Nutrition Department at 281-284-0712.
