League City House Fire Resident Recalls Horrors

Staff Reports Avatar

On the evening of July 21st, a devastating house fire broke out on the 300 block of Lake Front Drive, leaving Hollie Bailey and her family with only moments to escape. With smoke filling the home, Bailey managed to get her children and most of her pets to safety — even reentering the burning house to rescue the remaining animals. Tragically, her cat didn’t survive, passing away in her arms outside.

Now, two weeks later, Bailey reflects on the chaos of that night, the heartbreak of loss, and the meaningful items she was able to salvage — including her children’s hospital blankets and NICU records — as she begins the long process of recovery.
