LEAGUE CITY – A new kayak launch is set this fall at the Dr. Ned and Fay Dudney Clear Creek Nature Center, near the boat ramp off FM 270.

The launch will include a raised walkway that leads to a floating dock. The dock is designed to be wheelchair accessible, making it easier for everyone to get on the water safely. There will also be new parallel parking spaces added along the FM 270 feeder road near the ramp.

According to a post from the City of League City on social media, work on the launch is nearly done.

The project was designed using grant money from the Texas General Land Office. Construction is being paid for through the city’s Capital Improvement Program.

This launch will be part of the Clear Creek Paddle Trail, which already includes other kayak entry points at Heritage Park, Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside, and Walter Hall Park.
