LEAGUE CITY — A Dickinson man is behind bars after police say he held a gas station clerk at gunpoint and demanded cash and a cell phone during a July robbery.

According to a press release issued August 7th, from the League City Police Department, 40-year-old David Longoria was arrested on July 31 and charged with Aggravated Robbery. He is currently being held without bond.

The incident occurred on July 18 between 5:25 and 5:45 p.m. at the Chevron gas station located at 151 E FM 646. Officers were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a robbery.

The store clerk told police that a man wearing a baseball cap, long-sleeved button-up shirt, and face mask entered the store and walked behind the counter. The suspect then pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied out of fear.

Detectives with LCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division were able to identify Longoria as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, and on the morning of July 31, members of the department’s Special Investigations Unit and patrol officers located Longoria driving the same Toyota Corolla near 19th Street and Avenue D in Dickinson. He was taken into custody without incident.
