LEAGUE CITY — Two people were taken to the hospital Friday night after a motorcycle and a car collided at the intersection of Enterprise Avenue and Marina Bay Drive (FM 2094), police told KGTX 7.

League City police received the first call at 10:13 p.m. and arrived on scene three minutes later. Officers found the crash involved a motorcycle and a single vehicle. The first officer to arrive began providing first aid to the motorcyclist, while other officers checked on the driver and passenger of the car.

League City EMS arrived at 10:17 p.m., taking over treatment of the motorcyclist, who was then transported to a local hospital. The driver of the car was also hospitalized, while the passenger was released at the scene.

According to initial witness statements, the driver of the car — an Uber driver with a male passenger in the back seat — was stopped at a red light on Enterprise Avenue, preparing to turn left onto Marina Bay Drive. When the light turned green, the car entered the intersection and was struck on the driver’s side by the motorcycle, which was traveling west on Marina Bay Drive.

KGTX 7 asked on scene if the motorcyclist survived; police said they were advised he was being prepared for surgery.

The League City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team is investigating the wreck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 281-332-2566.
