LEAGUE CITY — Police are searching for a man accused of smashing a Walmart display case, stealing several cell phones, and injuring an employee during a robbery Sunday afternoon.
According to a League City Police Department press release, officers were called to the Walmart at 1701 W. FM 646 at 2:34 p.m. on August 10. The caller reported that a man broke the glass on a cell phone display case and took multiple phones.
The first officer arrived two minutes later and was told the suspect left in a black Ford Fusion with silver rims. Officers searched the area but could not find the vehicle.

During the investigation, police learned that a Walmart employee was shoved during the theft and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The charge was upgraded from theft to robbery as a result of the assault.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 6’ to 6’2” tall, with a medium build, wearing a black hoodie, camo pants, and red slippers. The suspect vehicle is a black Ford Fusion with silver rims.
