Galveston County Multi-Agency Operation Results in 55 Arrests

COUNTYWIDE – A four-day law enforcement operation in Galveston County led to 55 arrests across multiple communities, officials said.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office coordinated the Strategic High Output Crime Knockdown (S.H.O.C.K.) Operation in August 2025, targeting crime and aiming to enhance public safety. Arrests were made in Bacliff, San Leon, Texas City, La Marque, Galveston, Kemah, Dickinson, and Hitchcock.

Multiple agencies participated in the effort, including the Galveston Police Department, League City Police Department, Texas City Police Department, Kemah Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, La Marque Police Department, Galveston County Constables Pcts. 1, 2, and 4, Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety, and several specialized task forces.

“The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office values strong partnerships with all law enforcement agencies, recognizing that collaboration is essential to reducing crime and making a greater impact across our communities,” the office said in a statement.

Officials did not provide further details about the specific charges or demographics of those arrested.
