FRIENDSWOOD — The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation has surpassed $2 million in its Endowment Fund and set a goal of growing the fund to $3.5 million by 2030, the organization announced this week.

The Endowment provides annual support for district-wide initiatives through the foundation’s Legacy Grant program. Since 2022, the foundation has withdrawn 3 percent of the fund each year to finance classroom projects and other learning opportunities across Friendswood ISD.

With its growth goal, the foundation hopes to increase Legacy Grant funding to $100,000 annually by the end of the decade.

“This milestone ensures we can continue to provide innovative opportunities for today’s students and generations to come,” the foundation said in a statement.

The foundation recognizes major donors through its Century Club program, which requires a $10,000 contribution, either in full or through installments. Members receive recognition at foundation events and in marketing materials.
