FRIENDSWOOD — A South Houston man has been arrested on a Galveston County warrant charging him with continuous sexual abuse of young children, police said.

Juan Mata Sr., 49, was taken into custody Aug. 28 by Friendswood police. His bond was set at $350,000.

The arrest follows a lengthy investigation in which multiple victims were identified, according to police. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to call the Friendswood Police Department at 281-996-3300.
