LEAGUE CITY — A League City man was arrested Friday on charges of possessing child pornography involving children under 10, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said.
Raul Zamudio, 18, was taken into custody after investigators executed a search warrant at a League City residence. His bond was set at $60,000.
The investigation began in June when Detective A. Espinosa of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
During the search, deputies seized cell phones, which revealed evidence of child pornography, authorities said.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office credited the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force — which includes Homeland Security Investigation (Galveston), and police departments from League City, La Marque, Dickinson, La Porte, Pearland, and Hitchcock — as well as the office’s Crime Scene Unit for their assistance in the investigation.
