LEAGUE CITY — League City police have arrested a Texas City man on multiple child pornography charges, authorities said.
Valentine Garcia, 33, formerly of League City, was charged with possession of child pornography depicting sexual assault of a child and possession of 50 or more visual depictions of child pornography. Bond for each charge was set at $250,000.
The arrest follows a nearly six-month investigation that began in March 2025 after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children provided a cyber-tip to the League City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. The investigator involved also serves as a member of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
On Sept. 3, detectives and ICAC investigators, with assistance from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Task Force, executed a search warrant in the 8800 block of Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City. Several electronic devices containing child pornography were seized, police said.
Garcia was taken into custody at the residence without incident and transported to the League City Jail.
League City police acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, which includes investigators from the League City Police Department, Texas City Police Department, La Porte Police Department, and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as the GCSO Organized Crime Task Force and LCPD’s Crime Scene Unit.
