KEMAH — A 35-year-old man was arrested early Thursday morning following a short vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash at 96 and Highway 146, according to Kemah police.
The suspect, identified as Ronny Lee Griffin, was taken into custody around 3 a.m. after fleeing from a traffic stop, Chief Raymond Garivey told KGTX 7.

“The pursuit lasted about two to three minutes before the suspect crashed at the intersection,” Garivey said. “He was found in possession of cocaine and was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.”
Police said Griffin is charged with evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance, each carrying a $25,000 bond. Authorities also confirmed he had an outstanding warrant from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for possession of a controlled substance.
No third-party injuries or property damage occurred during the pursuit, police said.
