LEAGUE CITY – A man is facing felony drug charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of cocaine and evidence of additional narcotics activity, according to the League City Police Department.
On September 9, 2025, LCPD K9 Officer Jones conducted a stop on a blue Ford F-150 in the 300 block of W. Wilkins Street. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Jesus Martin Cantu of League City, was found to have a suspended Texas driver’s license.
During the stop, police deployed a K9, who alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search turned up multiple baggies containing 20.26 grams of suspected cocaine.
Cantu was arrested without incident and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, >=4g<200 grams. His bond was set at $200,000.
Following the arrest, Officer Jones and detectives with the LCPD Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at Cantu’s residence in the 800 block of Driftwood Street, where they uncovered evidence of additional illegal drug activity.
The investigation remains ongoing.
