LA MARQUE — The City of La Marque held the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand-new boat ramp at Mahan Park, Monday at 4:00 PM.

The new addition to Mahan Park was made possible through a generous grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife, along with support from the City’s Capital Improvement Fund.

The boat ramp will provide improved access to the Highland Bayou Waterways, opening up new recreational opportunities for fishermen, boaters, kayakers, and water enthusiasts of all kinds.

The new ramp is expected to draw more visitors to Mahan Park and encourage the enjoyment and preservation of La Marque’s coastal environment.
