DICKINSON — A 59-year-old Dickinson man has been arrested and charged in connection with the sexual assault of a child, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

Detectives said a DNA search warrant led to the arrest of Roy Gilbert on Thursday morning. Officers took him into custody around 6:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of East 37th Street.

Gilbert was booked at the Dickinson Police Department and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony. His bond was set at $150,000.

The case remains under investigation.
