Narcotics Search in Texas City Leads to Arrest, Infant Found Inside Home

TEXAS CITY – The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), with support from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit, executed a narcotics search warrant Thursday in the 5400 block of Phillips Street.

A GCSO press release said five men, three women, and an infant were inside the residence when officers entered. During the search, investigators reportedly found about 22 grams of methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia throughout the home. Child Protective Services was contacted regarding the infant and provided with details of the case.

One suspect, 48-year-old Patrick Buska, was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1, between four and 200 grams. His bond was set at $150,000.

The Organized Crime Task Force is a multi-agency partnership that includes the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Dickinson Police Department, League City Police Department, and La Marque Police Department. The task force investigates narcotics trafficking, organized crime, money laundering, prostitution, and illegal gambling.
