CRYSTAL BEACH – On September 23, 2025, the Gulf Coast Auto Crimes Task Force recovered a stolen skid steer and arrested a suspect in the 4300 block of Highway 87.

Authorities identified 24-year-old Anthony Garcia as the suspect attempting to sell the stolen equipment.

Detectives, working undercover, arranged a meeting with Garcia and observed him arrive with the skid steer.

With assistance from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division, Garcia was stopped and the skid steer was confirmed stolen from Houston.

Garcia has been charged with theft of property valued between $30,000 and $150,000. His bond was set at $50,000.
