DICKINSON — Dickinson Independent School District is reminding families to apply for free and reduced-price meal benefits for the 2025–2026 school year.
The application, available online, not only helps ensure students have access to nutritious meals but also provides additional benefits. Eligible families may qualify for discounted fees on college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT, Advanced Placement (AP) tests, and even reduced college application fees. Some households may also qualify for discounted internet service rates.

School officials stress that completing the application benefits the entire district, as it helps schools receive important funding to support student education.
Households must reapply each school year unless they have been directly certified. Families who received a direct certification letter do not need to apply; however, district officials encourage parents to contact them if all students in the household were not included on the certification.
The online process is designed to be quick and easy, accessible by phone, tablet, or computer. Parents are reminded to include all household members—not just students—when applying.
Applications can be completed at Meal App Now. More information is available at Dickinson ISD Child Nutrition, or by calling 281-229-6012.
“Together, we can make sure every Gator starts the school year with the nutrition they need to thrive,” the district said in a statement.
