KEMAH — A three-vehicle crash shut down part of FM 518 Tuesday afternoon, slowing traffic near Daniel Dror Avenue, according to the Kemah Fire Department.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 1 p.m., and Daniel Dror Avenue at FM 518 was closed while first responders worked to clear the wreckage. Fire officials said Kemah police and multiple fire units responded.

By 1:08 p.m., all vehicles were cleared from the roadway, and traffic was moving again.

The city noted it has been urging the Texas Department of Transportation to place a traffic signal at the intersection, which has been a recurring concern. Until then, officials are asking drivers to use extra caution in the area.
