Warm Week Ahead for Galveston County; Front Expected by Weekend

GALVESTON COUNTY — Southeast Texas will stay on the warm side through midweek as above-average temperatures linger across the region. Daytime highs are expected to reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees through Thursday, with humidity keeping conditions muggy along the coast.

The National Weather Service in Houston-Galveston said isolated showers and a few thunderstorms could develop each afternoon, though most areas will remain dry. Rain chances are expected to taper off after midweek.

A weak cold front moving into the area late Thursday into Friday should bring slightly cooler and less humid air for the weekend. Overnight lows will dip into the lower 70s, providing a modest break from the recent humidity.

Forecasters expect mostly sunny skies Friday through Sunday with highs remaining in the upper 80s.
