SANTA FE — Police in Santa Fe are urging parents to check their children’s candy after several reports of needles found in treats collected during Wednesday’s homecoming parade, according to a report from FOX 26 Houston.
The Santa Fe Police Department said it received multiple calls from parents who found pin-style needles inside candy picked up along the parade route. Reports came from various locations, including Centennial Oaks and areas near Highway 6 and Warpath.
Authorities are asking anyone who finds suspicious or tampered candy to contact the department’s non-emergency line at 409-925-2000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
