LEAGUE CITY — The League City Police Department’s Business District Unit (BDU), with assistance from the Traffic Division, Patrol Officers, and the Webster Police Department, arrested four Houston residents following a theft in progress at Ulta Beauty in League City.
The suspects — Tyrese Miller, 26; Jimmy Prince, 25; Nihco Spears, 24; and Autrise Johnson, 34 — were charged with Organized Retail Theft ($2,500–$30,000). Johnson’s bond was set at $50,000, while Miller, Prince, and Spears each received $150,000 bonds.
According to police, on Tuesday, October 7, BDU Officers Stillman and Nguyen responded to reports of a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty store. BDU Sgt. King tracked the suspects’ vehicle using Flock camera information and notified officers that it was traveling northbound.
Officers located the vehicle shortly after and conducted a traffic stop in Webster. Three male suspects fled on foot while the female driver remained at the scene and was detained. With assistance from K9 Officer Jones, K9 Donna, and the Webster Police Department, a perimeter was established, and all three suspects were apprehended without incident.
Authorities recovered more than $20,000 in stolen merchandise from the League City Ulta Beauty store, which has since been returned to the business. Police also located several pairs of designer sunglasses in the vehicle, believed to have been stolen from the Sunglass Hut in Rice Village.
In addition to the theft charges, the BDU filed Evading on Foot charges through Harris County against the three male suspects.
The League City Police Department expressed appreciation to all units involved and to the Webster Police Department for their assistance in safely apprehending the suspects and recovering the stolen property.
