In this Halloween season, on a Friday night, the Friendswood Mustangs find momentum in their impressive victory against the Porter Spartans, reaching a 4-4 (.500) record.

The X-Factor of the Mustangs much deserved win was the rushing attack from junior running back, Tripp Bateman. Bateman over the course of the game scored three total touchdowns: the first two touchdowns were 11-yard and 1-yard scores in the first half, and a stunning 32-yard touchdown to extend the Mustangs lead.

Charlie Moore, sophomore running-back also had his share of highlights with an effective 20 yard scamper getting inside the Spartans’ 30-yard line. To ice the game, junior quarterback Josh Brister used his rocket arm to hit Moore for a 53-yard touchdown.

Next week, the Mustangs will play before Halloween Night as they travel to Kingwood Park to take on the (4-4) Kingwood Panthers.
