LEAGUE CITY – Residents who frequent Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside will soon face limited access to the popular trail system, as a section running along Magnolia Creek is set to close for several weeks of maintenance.
Starting Tuesday, November 4, the segment of trail located beneath the Bay Area Boulevard bridge will be closed to both pedestrians and cyclists.
City officials said the closure is necessary for paving and slope repairs under the bridge, with work expected to last four to six weeks.
The shutdown will primarily affect residents of the Countryside subdivision and nearby neighborhoods that use the trail to reach the park.
Signs have been posted on both sides of the trail to alert visitors of the upcoming closure.
