KEMAH — A five-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning caused major traffic delays along Highway 146 in Kemah, according to Police Chief Raymond Garivey.
The crash happened around 5:50 a.m. near 146 & Bay Avenue when a white Dodge Nitro traveling southbound on Highway 146 reportedly crossed over into oncoming traffic, striking another vehicle head-on.

Chief Garivey told KGTX 7 that distracted driving appears to have been a factor in the collision. Despite the severity of the crash, no one was transported to the hospital.
Officers issued one citation at the scene, and it took about 45 minutes to clear the roadway.

Traffic has since returned to normal, and the incident remains under review by the Kemah Police Department.
