LEAGUE CITY — Two people were taken to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on League City Parkway near Heard Merman Road, according to Officer Jose Ortega with the League City Police Department.

Police said the crash happened around 2:35 p.m. when a Chevrolet Equinox attempted to make a left turn into Hometown Heroes Park but failed to yield the right of way, entering the path of a Dodge Ram.

The two vehicles collided, sending the passenger of the Equinox and the driver of the Ram to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The crash caused significant traffic delays in the area until the scene was cleared.
