BACLIFF – Galveston County Sheriff’s Office says a Bacliff man has been charged with murder in connection with an April overdose death.

Deputies were called to a home in Bacliff on April 23, where they found 30-year-old Jasmine Morgan unresponsive. She was taken to HCA Clear Lake Hospital and died the next day.

According to investigators, Morgan had been given methamphetamine by 50-year-old Sean Stillman. The Harris County Medical Examiner later ruled her death was caused by acute fentanyl toxicity.

Detectives say their investigation confirmed Stillman supplied the drugs. On December 8, he was charged with murder. His bond was denied. At the time, Stillman was already in jail on a separate charge of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s Office says it remains committed to holding drug distributors accountable and seeking justice for victims.
