KEMAH — Authorities are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning at a Galveston County intersection.
The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 146 and Highway 96. GCSO Captain Tommy Maffei said Kemah emergency responders were first on scene and provided initial assistance.
According to Maffei, three occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. All three were transported from the scene for medical treatment. One of the occupants was later pronounced dead.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation into the crash. Officials said a full report is expected to be released on Monday.
No additional details about the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash have been released at this time.
