LEAGUE CITY — Clear Creek Independent School District officials announced that the Texas Education Agency has approved the district’s appeal of its 2025 State Accountability ratings, resulting in higher scores for six high schools and an improved overall district rating.
According to CCISD, the district’s overall accountability score increased from 86 to 88 following the appeal. Three high schools improved to an A rating, while all six campuses listed saw notable gains.
Updated ratings released after the appeal show Clear Brook High School improving from 85 to 90, Clear Creek High School from 85 to 89, Clear Falls High School from 84 to 92, Clear Lake High School from 91 to 95, Clear Springs High School from 91 to 94, and Clear View High School from 83 to 92.
Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle said the revised scores more accurately reflect the work being done across the district.
“These updated ratings reflect the exceptional work happening every day in our classrooms,” Engle said. “We appreciate TEA’s thorough review and recognition of the corrected data, which more accurately represents the achievements of our students and staff.”
District officials said the appeal was based on corrections to data submitted in the 2023–2024 Public Education Information Management System, or PEIMS, specifically related to College, Career, and Military Readiness indicators. TEA allowed districts to submit a working PEIMS submission to amend College Prep and Industry-Based Certification data as part of the appeals process.
CCISD leaders said the improved ratings highlight continued academic progress across the district as state accountability standards remain in focus.
