SEABROOK – Clear Lake Park was filled with music, lights, and local creativity Saturday afternoon and evening as Bayside Bazaar hosted its Christmas event, bringing together dozens of small businesses and community members for a festive marketplace experience.

The event, organized by League City resident Amber Carlson, featured 55 vendors offering handmade goods, gifts, and specialty items, along with multiple food trucks serving visitors throughout the park. Live music set the tone for the evening, including performances by “the School of Rock”, adding energy and a family-friendly atmosphere to the waterfront setting.

One of the event’s unique attractions was the Sunshine Dress Swap, which invited attendees to bring up to 15 gently used clothing items to exchange for others. The swap promoted sustainability while giving shoppers a chance to refresh their wardrobes without additional cost, a concept that has become increasingly popular at community events.

Carlson said Bayside Bazaar events tend to ebb and flow depending on the time of year, noting that holiday seasons can be especially challenging as residents juggle multiple events and gift-buying commitments.

“Turnout really fluctuates throughout the year,” Carlson said in previous conversations. “During the holidays, there’s a lot going on, and people have often already spent their money on gifts or other events.”

Despite those challenges, vendors and visitors who attended were able to enjoy a relaxed shopping experience, live entertainment, and a festive atmosphere overlooking Clear Lake. Organizers say the bazaar continues to focus on supporting local entrepreneurs and creating accessible community gatherings, with future events planned throughout the year.

Bayside Bazaar hosts events regularly across the region, offering local vendors a platform to connect with the community while giving residents a chance to shop small and support local businesses. Their next event will take place in February of 2026.
