FRIENDSWOOD — A Friendswood man has been arrested following an investigation into an alleged indecent exposure incident involving a child at a city park, according to the Friendswood Police Department.
Police say officers were called to Stevenson Park around 2:04 p.m. on December 23, 2025, after receiving a report that a man had allegedly exposed himself to a child. Officers responded immediately, searched the park, and began gathering video evidence from the area.
According to authorities, the video footage allowed investigators to positively identify the suspect.
On December 24, 2025, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Richard Moore, 54, of Friendswood, was arrested on a charge of failure to stop at a designated stopping point and transported to the Friendswood City Jail. While he was in custody, police say a Galveston County warrant was filed charging Moore with indecency with a child by exposure, a third-degree felony. His bond was set at $100,000.
Friendswood Police Chief Josh Rogers praised the department’s response to the incident.
“I am very proud of our dispatchers, officers, and investigators who have worked tirelessly since receiving this call,” Rogers said. “Their dedication and unwavering efforts to protect our community exemplify the values and standards of the Friendswood Police Department.”
Police did not release additional details about the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
