Pet of The Week: Gracie Sue!

League City Animal Care Avatar

Hi, I’m Gracie Sue! I’m a soft-hearted girl who’s been through a big change. I lost my original mom, and for a little while, my world felt very confusing. The shelter was safe, but I was sad and missed having someone of my own. I hid a lot at first and didn’t have much of an appetite… until someone figured out my secret: I’m a gravy girl. Soupy wet food? Yes, please.

I am currently in foster care, if you would like to meet me please email FosterAPet@leaguecitytx.gov

Biography

Everything changed when my foster mom, Mary Anne, brought me home. I hid for a few days while I learned the sounds and smells, but she was patient and kind. One day she offered me Churu right from her finger—and that’s when I knew I was safe again. Loved again.

Now? I don’t hide at all. I spend my days lounging in sunny windows, watching the world go by, and at night I sleep in bed with my foster mom. I love gentle pets, enjoy being picked up, and I don’t have a single sassy bone in my body. I’m calm, affectionate, and very sweet. Sometimes I get a little burst of nighttime zoomies, but that just means I’m happy and feeling young at heart.

I’m looking for a quiet forever home where I can be an indoor-only kitty. I’d do best with no dogs, and I may need a little patience at first while I settle in—but once I do, I promise I’ll give you all my love. Gravy-style wet food and broth are my favorites (pâté is a hard pass), and cozy naps are my specialty.

If you’re searching for a gentle soul who just wants to be cherished again, I might be your girl. My foster mom loves me very much (she’s trying hard not to keep me!), and she’s happy to help make my transition smooth and successful.

Maybe you’re the forever I’ve been waiting for.
