Texas City Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting

TEXAS CITY — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in a north Texas City neighborhood.

Police were called to the 1100 block of 12th Avenue North around 3:57 a.m. on January 3 for a firearms-related incident. When officers arrived, they found Luis Aguilera-Ramirez with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division identified 22-year-old Edward Arispe as the suspect. Arispe was arrested without incident and charged with murder. He is being held in Galveston County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
